No, wait. I do get old forum results, but for some reason I can't find the Listening Group I led on Bach's Mass. Can anyone else?

Fascinating amount of serious musical discussion in there. Thanks, Rob!

Let me add my thanks for this, Rob.  There were several threads on the old forum that I'd like to revisit, though if I spend much time there I suspect I'll miss Chris and Rena and Owlice and Benji and Nigel and one or two others even more than I already do.  They were powerful attractions when I first joined.  Fortunately there are still several other attractions from those days participating here, and quite a few others who've joined since.  And occasionally one of the old timers puts in an appearance--nice to see Mark (diegobueono) from time to time, for instance.

But...damn!...I was looking forward to Chris's exposition of Sibelius's 5th on that old series of threads devoted to careful consideration of one work--and Benji's Rautavaara one, too!  Too bad that stuff got derailed by the psychopathic egos who crawl out from under their rocks when the planets get misaligned.

I joined GMG in July 2007. For me this is a wonderful time machine where I meet some of the current regulars in earlier incarnations and discover a lot of other characters who are completely new to me. Yes, fascinating stuff!

Too bad because I can't stand Rautavaara anymore...

I jest.

Yes, I think I might still like to do that when I have a weekend to myself. What's another 2 years wait between friends?  ;)

Benji!  Good to see you back, bro...and your little mog, too!  (insert Margaret Hamilton's cackle here)
