Luke googled up some photos of the school where he works and posted them on his thread. So I thought maybe others could show us the buildings where they work too.

(This may seem rather pointless but OTOH it may be interesting to see if someone works in an old building or a new one, in a crowded city environment or somewhere where there's a bit more air etc.).

Ha, ha, ha. Is that a photo of GMG?

This is the building where I work (a very recent photo):

It is of course rebuilt, it was destroyed (burnt down) during World War II (the Warsaw Uprising). Originally it looked more or less like this:

During the heyday of Russification (ie. late 19th c.) the Russians gave it a heinous makeover:

My building is too ugly to post.  :-X I will spare you that.

Maciek

I was actually looking forward to the ugly buildings! >:D

(Actually, the inside of my building looks more or less like a prison - not that I've ever been to one but, you know, I've seen the movies; think Silence of the Lambs; wait, was that an asylum, not a prison? whatever...)

This youtube video was actually taped by my coworkers at my workplace for a little party we had a couple of weeks ago. And no, we are not japanese. Just a bit of fun. One of the desks are mine.

Just picture your average American strip mall.

Here's me at work, between GMG posts.

As it was my own work photos which prompted this thread, seems right for me to share them here too:

The school where I teach:

Wake Forest University Medical Center in the foreground; downtown Winston-Salem in the background - now the biggest employer in Forsyth County, North Carolina; I'm an academic radiologist - added a couple of arrows to the photo; my office is in the building (far right arrow) - we'll be moving across the street to the MRI building into new offices in April; the other arrow points to the helicopter pad - damn noisy machines!  ;D

Not very glorious  ;D but...

The pizza place we've recently opened. That's me on the right with my partner standing next to me.

And here is a view from the inside

There is a remote chance someone will recognize this location.

If the request is for the building in which I actually work, that would be this slightly less attractive structure.

This is the school where I currently work (I use the word 'currently' advisedly as, due to a merger with another school, we all have to re-apply for our own jobs, so I may not be there for much longer). My office overlooks the sea and you get some wonderful sunsets. The school resembles a cross between Colditz Castle, Castle Dracula and a 19th Century lunatic asylum)
