They both should hang up their gloves and get back to composing. This is a pain to follow.

Antonin took longer to develop his talents: compare his Symphony #1 The Bells of Zlonice with the 18-year old Gustav's Das Klagende Lied.

On that basis: debate's over, Dudes!   8)   Game, set, match, and championship Mahler.

But there are other bases where Dvorak wins: e.g. Kammermusik, Folkloric Exuberance   :o     etc.

Mahler didn't write a 70 minute long string quartet, talk about a missed opportunity. On this basis: Dvořák $:)
