Documentary "Conducting Mahler" on all of Mahler's symphonies with interviews with various conductors, Haitink, Chailly, Abbado, Muti, Rattle. You can ignore the Dutch intro. The pertinent parts of the film are in English:

;)  I just wanted to make a note lest someone be thrown off by the Dutch beginning and not watch he rest.

Yes, thanks, I have this in my netflix queue but couldn't wait.  Terrific film, great to hear these conductors' views and to see them rehearsing their orchestras.  Increased my already great admiration for Chailly, and for Haitink, and even improved my generally negative impression of Rattie (but not a lot!  ;D ), as well as for all conductors at such a level of mastery of their art.
