Yeah.

You're the background man. The men don't know, but the little girls understand.

Well, all you people there tryin' to sleep,
Rob's out there making it your midnight treat

Men profess to be lovers of music, but for the most part they give no evidence in their opinions and lives that they have heard it.  ~ Henry David Thoreau

On Chrome, my problem is that the signatures don't break (wrap) properly but extend out to the right.
Know what I mean?

Update: Wait, has this literally been fixed in the seconds it took me to write this post??!!

Update: Now it's back to being funny.

Update: Seems to be necessary for me to update/write a post for the line-wrapping to work properly. When I enter the site anew, it's back to the new, old skewed way.

Update: All refreshed, the problem seems fixed. For now.

Hehe... that's true. I went to sleep a little while after the site was back up and running. Rob was there. I sleep for seven hours, wake up and log in an hour after that -- Rob's still there!  ;D

Yep, Chrome seems to be a problem. I think because it was released after the bulk of the work was done on SMF 2.0. I have fixed the problem for Safari, and Firefox and IE seem to be OK. Only Chrome. Anyone else using Chrome? I'll look into it. Its not available for Mac yet, so I can't check it myself.

I use Chrome too. I like this browser much and don't want to change to an other browser.

Rob, I still do not see the subscriber sign under the avatar, while others have it already, like Jezetha.
Must that still be done by you, by hand?

Yes, Harry, I suspect that is still a hand job. Mine isn't up yet either, but I have determined to wait. Mods should be last anyway, after the others are served. :D

The subscriber badges are coming. The problem is that the forum recognises just a single "membergroup" for each member. Meaning that it can only display one badge per person. For example, if you are a Veteran Member as well as a Silver Subscriber, the forum can only display one badge, in this case "GMG Veteran". It will require a bit of tinkering (as I did before) to make the forum display more than one badge for a single member.

You may also notice, there are no ads on the forum. At the moment, there is no "Ad Management" software in the forum, so I can't display ads, unless I hard code them, and then they are visible to all, even subscribers.

I am sure an appropriate Ad management software plugin will come for this version of SMF, but until then, all members get the benefit of ad-free forum, (and I lose a bit of revenue).

Which reminds me...I'm sure I'm overdue to renew.  I don't see a "Subscribe" tab anywhere, but if you would kindly post the direct PayPal link I will remedy that!  8)

Still getting the extreme indentation...

Like this:

This is a test of the extreme indentation creation sensation. Blah blah blah. Have a nice day, Mr. Happypants. Flowers are growing out me bum. Huzzah.

I am noticing the site is very slow to load:

I don't think this is normal.  I am using Firefox on Mac.

I was wondering if a break could be inserted below one's avatar.

(See screen short.)

(Chrome.)

I'm sure you know that the actual issue is the shape of your avatar, and are looking for a workaround.

Have you tried putting a hard break ABOVE the picture rather than below it (where it would be truncated)?  Just a random thought, while listening to Beethoven....

The shape (and size) of my avatar is just fine, thank you very much! >:(  8)
