Is the board running very slow today, or is it just me?

Slow here, too, and at one point not loading at all.  But in the last few minutes, it seems to be more like the usual speed.

Thanks, guy. Tried restarting and running malware scans with no improvement. I'll let it recover from its malaise and try again later.

Yes, GMG does seem to be rather sluggish today.

Slow for me, too, though faster now.

I think we're back in business.

I have a few computers at home, all Windows based, Apple is just not my thing, despite the fact that they build good hardware.
I have Windows 7 pro, Windows 8 pro, and 10 pro, all work fine with GMG.
But at regular times, GMG gets slow, or inaccessible.  I have learned to be patience, and sit it out.

This weekend - including today - GMG is totally sluggish, and pages often stop loading.

I'm unable to see any Youtube videos. I've checked and each time the videos were linked properly.

I've noticed others complaining of the same problem.

I'm in the US and on Safari. Never had this problem before.

Is the flash feature when embedding YouTube videos (using the /v/ trick, of course) broken?

Example:

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/v/d0eangK_KBo" target="_blank" class="new_win">https://www.youtube.com/v/d0eangK_KBo</a>

Yes, blank rectangle. That's all I get, too.

A well-versed in computer programming musician friend of mind said (in relation to a similar bug/slowdown on Yahoo! -- while all this behavior is similar wherever it strikes...)

"Sometimes Yahoo gets a bit ill and under the weather."

Technopeasant (c) that I am, I'm sure that's what has happened here on GMG. It either took two Asperins and didn't need to call the doctor in the morning, or the doctor has come, done his efficacious thing, and gone.

Links to the YouTube homepage, not the video - another hint the feature is broken.

I don't think the youtube issue is a problem with the forum software, I think it's a browser thing.  On Chrome, I got the blank rectangle.  However, I got the video to play on firefox.

Did Chrome stop supporting flash?
