A broken "Watch on Youtube" link in the lower right corner is hardly symptomatic of a browser problem.

As I said, the video worked properly on firefox for me.

The plot thickens!

I just checked my older threads and yup, all the videos underwent a disappearing act (in Chrome), while being still perfectly OK in Firefox. Weird..

Same problem in Chrome 49.0.2623.112 (OS X 10.7). No problems in Safari (iOS 9.3) (not sure version number)

Yes, blank rectangle. That's all I get, too.

Played fine for me via Firefox 48 on OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite.

Google Chrome Version 52.0.2743.116 (64-bit) shows a black box, however.  So, it requires FlashPlayer. And it is not supported now - despite:  https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-google-chrome.html - no such extension in my out-of-the-box Chrome. They've kicked it to the curb.  I have not gone out of my way to find a way to get around this and install it - Safari, SeaMonkey, Firefox are better alternatives.

Additionally, Opera Version: 39.0.2256.48 plays the video fine with Flashplayer installed/activated.

Just make sure you keep this extension "off - must ask" - you don't want Adobe Flashplayer always running in the background - security issues!

So, for me, anyway, YouTube videos are back in action. Hopefully for good.

Two issues:  1)  there's this "Mirror Image" Russian-spam thing that pops up on so many threads - obviously, some Putin-paid-for spambot - any way to track it down with nanites to eat it to the core?   ;D  :P
Ok, that was mean.

but 2) - some Amazon images show up with the '

' and some don't - I get around it sometimes by going to different Amazon domains - i.e., .UK or .FE or .DE ...
any idea what causes this and how to fix-er-upper?

I've tried on the MI thing, but there it is... :-\

The reason the Amazon picture thing happens is when Amazon doesn't actually have that item in stock themselves, they don't have a picture for it either. Usually you can see that the picture they have in those cases is a 'customer image', which is not attached to the description like an internally hosted picture will be. Usually I go and copy the image location and put it into a [img][/ img] bracket and it will display underneath the actual link. It isn't pretty but it serves the purpose.  You need to give Jeff Bezos' email to MI and see what he can do there. :)

Well if you go to all that bother, you can just make the actual image the link after you get the GMG address using the ASIN code.  8)

More than one way to skin a cat. Although it is no bother either way if you are already there. I'm curious what your link code would then appear like.

Can't have this on the image itself, though...

GMG a bit buggy today, a lot of "an error occurred" messages when trying to go to All Unread, for instance.

When I want to visit the forum, I very often get a message telling me, that access is denied. This may happen almost every day and last for many hours.

Anybody got similar problems?

I seem to be having problems posting as there seems to be some kind of lag when I go to make a post. Anyone else having this issue today?

Yes, I am experiencing something similar. I preview a post if it contains an image [to ensure that the image will be OK] and sometimes I have a slight delay while the image is being retrieved. Today this is taking longer than normal.
