I won't start a kerfuffle for (or is it over) this.
Over.

That is my claim, a ruckus requires noise, a kerfuffle requires conflict. Two hooligans who are in accord make a bigger ruckus. Two hooligans in opposition make a kerfuffle.
This is an elegant solution.

Gentlemen, I think we may congratulate ourselves on having transformed several bemused ruskuses into an entertaining kerfuffle.

I can confirm that I was entertained, but quietly, to myself, so as not to raise . . . The Unseemly.

I like to think that all our ruckuses are seemly, and our kerfuffles gentlemanly.
