There may be no Hah!, nor silence, but instead, *pounds the table!!!*
That's the other thing, if I meet Karl over dinner, I'll say something he has to agree with, like "Stravinsky is good," just to see if he pounds the table.

I just noticed: Alexander Bystrow was last active on August 5th, with his last comment on August 2nd.

What say ye?  Will he return?  Or is his work finished here?

I predicted that once his own thread was locked--the only thread on which he posted--he would disappear. So far that seems to be the case. He had an agenda, one that didn't include actually participating in the broader forum. I suppose he could return and start another contentious thread. But I doubt we'll see him post anywhere else.

On top of it, his initial post was simply a cut-and-paste of what he had already posted on his blog. Maybe we'll hear from him again when he updates his site.

This reminds me that LinkedIn a couple of days sent me an e-mail "Do you know Robert Newman, independent consultant and author?"

I resisted clicking on the Connect button.

Resistance is not futile in this case!    ;)

Just noticed this regarding David Ross.  Anyone in touch with him off-forum?

As of earlier today he's still posting 3-5 very vocal political opinions on Facebook per day.

I wound up posting about "Apollo Dave" in the Shed . . . I was sure there was a Missing Members thread, yet the search function couldn't turn it up.

Weird.

Perhaps because you did what I did on my initial foray, and looked for it in the apparently logical place:The Diner?
