You, and your hat still traveling to Atlanta this year?

Definitely on:  My Island Home for percussion ensemble;  & just what everyone was expecting for clarinet & marimba

Also, one of the following, depending on the pianist's response to the score:  Night of the Weeping Crocodiles or Mirage (both pieces now arranged for clarinet, percussion & piano)

nor in competing for the favor of wayward friends.

Who is performing?

Karl Henning

The Reinhardt University Percussion Ensemble;  and the smaller chamber works will be their director, Olivia Kieffer, myself, and a friend of hers whose full name eludes me, at the piano.

I do remember that name of the ensemble, you must have already told it to me. Please keep me informed on dates/times, Karl.  8)

That is fantastic! So happy to hear it. Keeping it up can be harder than losing it, but it sounds like you've found a happy medium.

Thank you, Neal:)

Not to mention Prokofiev, who was a Yankees fan.

Aha!  So Stravinsky and Prokofiev were heated rivals in the composing world and in baseball.  :D

:D  Yeah, the bar fight between the two is legendary after the Yankees stole The Babe.

In this way he had a chance to have the rhythm drilled into him. And this was the beginning of a musical inclination in his descendants. JS Bach

The composer live in action. Very cool, Karl. Too bad I couldn't come see you perform.

Yep, definitely a "familial" resemblance between you and your avatar.  But Igor's nose is more majestic.

If you ever travel to China, I will see if I can arrange a China Premiere of HenningMusik!  (Now, if only I can get the first lady, who is a soprano, to sing in the premiere... humm...)
Do what I must do, and let what must happen happen.

Anyone watch Game of Thrones? A while ago (like early this year) someone told me I look like one of the characters from the series, but I can't remember the name. I looked up the cast and there are really only two possibilities. I'm more like a complete hybrid between the two. He also said to not look the character up because of what happens to them. I did and both die gruesome deaths (I guess that's the norm for this series?). So now I'll have no idea which character he was talking about.  :P

I assume he means Theon Greyjoy...but he doesn't die. His fate is worse than death! I'm sure this is what your "friend" meant.

Oh yeah, that's right. Probably why I misremembered it as a death.
