Embedding HTML
« on: February 21, 2013, 04:26:43 AM »
I would like to embed the HTML code generated by the Spotify play button. Is it possible?

Direct embedding of HTML is probably impossible, but I've had success in using the Flash tags for embedding a clip from 4-Shared. That is, of course, no guarantee that it will work for Spotify as well; you'll just to have to play with the link to find out.

Unfortunately, directly embedding HTML is not possible, and the Spotify link is not a flash file, so there is no way I can think of to embed Spotify into the forum.

Speaking of embedding and clips; we used to be able to post MP3 links if they were hosted in a place that had non-dynamic IP addresses. That functionality seems to have disappeared without me noticing. Is that a permanent disappearance?

There was a plugin that was only compatible with an older version of the forum software. The current version has no available plugin that allows us to embed MP3 clips.

One day, in my copious free time, I will sit down and write a plugin to embed MP3 files.

Ah, how nice that your free time has qualified now as 'copious'... :D  Mine is still horribly compromised by my need for sleep... ;)

Thanks, Rob.
