Hope you like the Bach as much as I did!!

The Adam is wonderful. If you like it, there is a second (very good) ballet on the same label and with the same performers:

Offenbach gets a raw deal in recordings considering his talent! For a discussion of this outstanding composer too little recorded: http://www.good-music-guide.com/community/index.php/topic,5572.

Coming from you, that's a strong endorsement. :)

Thanks Mc Urkneal, I'll keep an eye on that Adam ballet. A great, underrated - though admitttably secondary - composer. I love his opera Si j'étais roi (If I were king), an absolute charmer. And of course, Giselle.

- Roslavets Cello Sonatas /naxos

I have that one on my wishlist. I do enjoy Le Postillon de Lonjumeau  and Le Toreador though, so I am guessing I'd like that as well.

I already own Schiff and Crossley in Janáček, but I just bought this set from Firkusny:

I seem to to recall Luke thought very highly of this particular set.

I'm with Luke, I also think highly of this disc. Janacek wrote some achingly beautiful piano music.

Yes, I have the old Nonesuch recording, but Levine will be nice as a supplement, maybe an improvement, I think he is generally underrated as a conductor in non-vocal recordings.
Am also looking forward to Sessions´ Piano Concerto & the Di Domenica symphony, both newcomers to my collection.

Me three!

Ewa Kupiec is my go-to for a recent set, though I like Alain Planès' disc on HM a lot, too. There are other recordings I don't know (i.e. by Austbo).
