Very nice haul, Karlo. 8)

Bought these earlier in the AM:

Mozart, Piano Concerti

Not that I need all the sets I have. But it's never really about need is it?

I looked at that one...but I don't want to wait weeks for something sent by a completely unknown seller in Japan or Jordan.  Knock them out, and the price difference is much less dramatic.  And as I said,  I already have over half of the Supraphon series already.

My point wasn't that the set is cheaper, just that it is excellent. Whether it is preferable to the Supraphon set I can't say, not having heard it.

Decided to opt for this one rather than the Erato box. 8)

Truly stunning! A few of these are duplicated in the Erato box, but the Erato box is fantastic particularly for the Donatoni/Berio/Carter/Ferneyhough/Grisey/Birtwistle/Kurtág etc things  :)

And also, much of my favourite music is in thay box too ^_^

Yeah, the Erato box is certainly still a temptation.  0:)

I wouldn't be surprised if you love this!

Thread duty:

this one's actually playing while I'm typing this ... for the second time already, after I bought it at that dangerous place that is the distributor of Outhere and other labels for Switzerland ... they had it just in when I visited yesterday, and it looked so enticing (Schmelzer, Marini, Piccinini, Georg Muffat and more played by a duo of baroque violin and theorob/chitarrone/baroque guitar) and I loved the front cover too (Hannibal's elephants send their regards) ... why I went there was to pick up these two:

in addition I have ordered No. 5 from the series via amazon ... and half a ton of Glossa discs before the sale @presto's is over ...

A friend of mine told me that Pogorelich has started giving concert again.

She says that he is even more extraordinary than in his youth.  This prompted this purchase.

Picked up a couple of discs from Ricercar:

The Birth of the Violin
Miroir de Musique

Vitali: Ciaconna
Clematis

I am hoping for good things from these discs.
