Lots of Dorothee Oberlinger!

I have all three, and I think you're going to be happy with them.  :)

I see your quest for a FdR has reached a conclusion.
I'll be interested in your view of the Abrahamsen whenever you get to it.
And finally: does the Eggner Trio play underwater? ;D

I'm not dead yet, so not that sure ... but I like Dessay and thought I'll check this out.

And they play Pirchner, that says it all  ;D

Hadelich is among those violinists whom I almost automatically buy.
The Stolz box fills a gap: up until now, my holdings in that genre are simply whatever shows up on the VP's New Years concert. (Incidentally, my copy of the most recent one, under Muti, landed today.)

This OOP recording was on offer at jpc for a song, and I felt like further exploring the scapilgliatura movement. Actuallly, I have a soft spot for Alfredo Catalani...

One thing I bought recently was a 2 CD set of music by Yuji Takahashi. It was the only name I didn't recognise from the contemporary Japanese composers section of the shop I visited so that was my main reason to get it.

Is he related to Aki, the pianist?

I wasn't very impressed by his recent hit Let me tell you, but this is a nice surprise indeed.

Someone else whose opinion I respect was *very* impressed by the Hannigan/Abrahamsen disc ... for me, at that time, her Satie was the big winner. Will keep trying though, and was curious about more by Abrahamsen.

Just arrived, from Amazon Italy

Now I'm ready for his centennial year  :)

Finally I've finished ripping all the 33 CDs, and it has been really a hard work since I had to tag 99% of the tracks from scratch. My evenings of last week have been very busy...

This morning I started with Debussy's own rendition of La Cathédrale engloutie (on piano roll), and I was really surprised by his pace.
The duration is less than 5 minutes. It works very well, anyway.

Cheers André. I have heard neither work but anything that I have heard by Atterberg I have enjoyed so I am looking forward to hearing both works  :)

According to Wikipedia, he is indeed. And Yuji Takahashi is a pianist in his own right having recorded the complete piano works of Schoenberg, Berg, Webern, as well as works by Messiaen, Cage, Xenakis, Takemitsu and others..........and has also conducted music by quite a few great 20th century composers including Xenakis, Zorn and Varese. Seems quite busy really.
