If you are thinking of terms in SQ this set is too dated, even if it is in early stereo (1957!!). But the interpretation makes it unique. Similar questions could be raised about Schnabel's Beethoven and the Busch Quartet's recordings and many other historical recordings.

I quite like Kraft in the ~complete Bach, and don´t mind the sound there. It´s much better than those earlier recordings, of course.

When did you order?  I am still waiting.

I ordered October 10, 2017.  I received notification of dispatch a few days later.  The set is very impressive.  Great liner notes, laminated.  They sound superb, most were recorded no more than 4 years ago.

I like the Smithsonian Players directed by Kenneth Slowik.  I would like to hear these works with gut-strung instruments.  Thanks.

Basically my thoughts too. I’ll try to post my impressions in the next few days.

An operatic rarity which I had been after for quite a while. I spotted a new copy very reasonably priced at a B&M shop close to home here in Madrid.

As close as we get to an opera by Mahler?

Das Klagende Lied is a good approximation of an opera.

Arkivmusic is running a one day sale tonight and tomorrow. I picked a couple, and added on some new releases.

Yes, that may well be true. My problem is that I find DkL insufferable (and the subject matter downright unpleasant). IMHO an adolescent and overambitious attempt to emulate Wagner, where glimpses of Mahler's future genius are but few and far between...

Yesterday I was reviewing my "confirmed but not yet delivered" orders and I noticed this Koechlin set. I was sure 200% that Ii had ordered the other Koechlin box with his instrumental/chamber music instead. So I'm set to receive something I didn't really need/want. Oh well... ::)

I liked the Reger piano set more than the organ sets, which augurs well for you.

Before I order this lot I would like to invite some comments from people that know them or have knowledge about performers.
Thank you!

No one reacted so I guess you all think them marvelous...right ordered then.

4 boxes in total from Ricercar.

I'm a bit ambivalent on this one, in the sense that I'm not quite sure what to expect. I already have the big variations works, but the bulk of Reger's piano output is made up of dozens, if not hundreds of small pieces. Reger composed klavierstücken like a hen lays eggs: by the dozen. They're mood pieces and they're over faster than you can read track listings, so an adequate concentration level is required. It certainly makes for a different listening experience.

Harry: the Symphonie parisienne set is a must ! It's not just symphonies, but ballets and arias, all of them exquisitely played and sung. In the big works (Haydn symphonies and Beethoven 2) the PI really make a difference, even if they have been performed by many PI bands. I think the difference is that they are more relaxed in feeling, more joyful too. The conductor is more a primus inter pares than with other more tightly controlled ensembles. Big recommendation. ;)
