Although I am not into table pounding (at all), Martinu cello concerti are lovely and this is a fine performance.

I do not pound tables myself but I do understand the concept  ;D
Thank you for your encouragement with this purchase  :)

Table pounding is encouraging here as I do not know these works  :)

You won't be disappointed :) The Martinu cello concerti are absolutely lovely.

Pulled the trigger on (mostly) OOP CDs of (mostly) off-the-beaten-track repertoire I've been monitoring for awhile. The prices were right  :)...

Maderna's  recording of Quadrivium is outstanding I think.

Are you familiar with Martinu’s oeuvre in general? Would love to know or, at least, have an idea of what you’ve heard of his music?

With appropriate hat tip to Mirror Image

BTW, Supraphon has released a newer recording of the same works, but different performers.

Nipponari, Magic Nights, Czech Rhapsody

The last four are all listed as low stock, so I'll have to see if I actually get them or if they go to back order.

This arrived in full, no back order problem, today. So I have a bunch of Martinu to listen to.
Also arrived, Beauty Farm singing Baldewyn and Niquet's Messiah.

My old employer opened at 2 PM yesterday.  My current one at 8 AM today.

Meaning at least I got to rest yesterday, and get in a walk on the beach.

That’s good to hear. There’s nothing like some good rest.

Q
It is very good.  As dark as the cover, but a very moving interpretation.
A woman voice glides like the wind
Of black, of damp, of night
And all it touches in this flight
Suddenly is over.
