"Horns, over here next to Sirius.  Cellos back of the Milky Way,  and you oboes by the Crabhorse Nebula.  And remember, only upbeats!"

:) Did you like this recording, Jeffrey? Sawallisch's Bruckner on Orfeo is pretty highly acclaimed (or so I've read). The audio samples sounded quite nice.

Never heard it, although Sawallisch seems a likely candidate for excellence in Anton. I But the cover art was too good to pass by without comment.

Ah, indeed. Sawallisch should be good in Bruckner. A likely candidate certainly. 8)

Looks appetizing!   ;D

Can't  wait until it arrives. :) Paolo Cherici is a lutenist I really like - on account of his discs with Claudia Ansermet (Symphonia,  reissued on Glossa) and this solo disc on Pan Classics (previously on Symphonia,  with a much prettier cover). One of my favourite lute records. :)

Sawallisch's 6th is superb, maybe the best I've heard. (But I still have to hear the others because Orfeo hates streaming services apparently.)

Good to read. I've read his 6th is fantastic. Can't wait to hear it.

And mighty tasty, too!  Although how Wagner or Bizet got in there . . . well, call 'em filler . . . .
