The full shot feels more balanced to me--boat in the lower left, pointing towards the greenery in the upper right.

It is comforting to see that Finnish waters suffer from algae as much as Florida waters.

That's not a crop but a foot zoom, but I agree with the greenery & balance. And yeah there's some algae here too.

A photo not posted due to the composition or very aesthetical value (btw, the rule of a maximum of 0,5 MB for posts creates limits in that respect) ... but the big fires in Southern Europe these days create a strange, red, lantern-like sun disc up here in Denmark, as reported by many people. An un-edited photo as regards the colours, from 9:40 AM today - a small part of the view from my window.

Yes, I had to think twice too. It is the sun though, maybe under circumstances comparable to cities with smog (?).
