Upcoming SoCal/HELL A area concerts, recitals
« on: October 01, 2016, 12:40:58 PM »
Perhaps it might be a good idea to break up our "concerts you are looking forward to" into regions. (I hate living here, but I am trying to make the best of it for now),

Anyway, I am looking for some interesting upcoming  concerts, recitals (esp. organ recitals) in this area. One that looks interesting is a recital by organist Philippe Lefebvre

I am perusing the LA Phil calendar, but nothing too exciting so far. Any ideas?

We live not too far from the Pasadena Presbetyrian Church, which has a tremendous Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ, but they only seem to have a couple recitals a year--what a waste!

Don't know if I'm on right thread so please move if on wrong one.(Still finding my feet)

Last night, went to see
Halle Orchestra conducted by Sir Mark Elder

They performed
Delius. Paris
Ravel. Piano Concerto in G(soloist Anna Tsybuleva)
Bach(orch Elgar) Fantasia and Fugue
Elgar. Enigma Variations

Took place at my favourite building "Leeds Town Hall"
