I just looked that one up Simon. 26 copies sold with album and performers nearly unknown. I had a listen on youtube. I quite liked it.

Yeah, the songs on that one reminded me of Devendra Banhart in a number of places. The long random silliness between songs is what would have killed sales and possible reviews.

Two of the best concerts I've been to were a Dresden Dolls and an Amanda Palmer solo which included a large number of DD songs. I particularly like "Mrs. O" on that album.

Talking of Devendra Banhart reminds me of one of his main inspirations, Vashti Bunyan. 'Just another diamond day' is always worth a re-listen:
