Berg: Wozzeck
« on: September 02, 2017, 09:36:36 AM »
Greetings.

One my top 5 all-time favorite operas is Berg's Wozzeck.  This week, I kept getting bits of it stuck in my head ("langsam, Wozzeck, langsam...."), so decided to immerse myself in it.  Two days ago, I listened to the Abaddo performance twice, straight thru.  Here's the link to Act I.  Note that each act is a separate video, but the links to Acts II & III are found on the Act I page.  Of course, highly recommended.

If this is also one of  your favorite operas, care to divulge why?

Regards,
