He's here... waiting... aren't you just a little apprehensive about how the world is shaping up?Seems "Dear Leader" is going to make an appearance in the next coming decades (if that long), and then I wonder how quickly things will get apocalyptic...

eh?

One finely directed shot would make all the difference.

Take Fat Boy out and it will be an entirely different ball game.

Am I the only one who wonders how this isolated, primitive little nation-state, has advanced to the level of being able to fire a nuclear warhead virtually anywhere in the world in a mere 5 years time?  I mean, they aren't there yet, but they are 10 years ahead of where any reasonable projection would have them by now.

Geez, I wonder if they have help?  It could only come from a couple of places I know of: China or Russia. None of the other nuclear powers except France or England is at that stage yet. Unless, of course, it's .... us!?!?  :o :o

I've seen reports that the missile parts seen in N Korean propaganda pictures bear a resemblance to components made by a (former Soviet) supplier in Eastern Ukraine, the "separatist" part. Maybe Trump gets a cut.

Well, that would explain some of the parts, although it is the technology and design itself which is advanced so much. One wonders about Iran too. It seems they have quite a bit of technology that they can't make use of, but selling it to NK would be a solid move for them. :-\

My understanding is that it is the engine that is the tricky part. The rest is just software. The US deployed an ICBM in 1962. Think about the computer control technology they had then. An Adruino would have been consider a supercomputer in those days. :)

Yes, I think so too. I am very sorry to see you guesting right now, I will assume the reason will be self-evident when I come across it. :(

Oh sure, it is in Trump's best interests to fund NK's nuclear ambitions.

More intriguing is the connection, albeit hidden, between Uarnium One and the Podesta Group:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/paulroderickgregory/2017/10/25/why-was-obamas-justice-department-silent-on-criminal-activity-by-russias-nuclear-agency/#7b41a69bbe17

A less noted fact is that Uranium One was represented by the Podesta Group from 2011 to 2013 (managed by John Podesta’s brother), which cashiered $180,000 from its client. The Podesta Group had avoided registration as a foreign agent by claiming that a client, the Centre for Modern Ukraine, had no ties to a foreign government. The Centre for Modern Ukraine was likely funded by ousted Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovich from the billions he extracted before fleeing Ukraine.

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-ukraine-lobbying/with-cash-ukraines-political-foes-bring-fight-to-washington-idUSBRE9BJ1B220131220

The sums of money involved are substantial. Over the last two years, the European Centre for a Modern Ukraine, a Brussels-based organization sympathetic to Yanukovich and his political party, has paid $560,000 to Weber’s firm, Mercury, and another $900,000 to Podesta Group Inc, for a total outlay of $1.46 million, according to a U.S. Senate database.

No one said it is in his best interests.  Only in his financial interests.   He has many financial interests, and (as we can all see) no moral guardrails to speak of.

It wouldn't contradict anyone here, the assertion that Trump's personal interests are one and the same with his financial interests.
Sorry, you can't have it both ways, that they oppose one another.

aren't you just a little apprehensive about how the world is shaping up?

A lot of people are; all around the world. Who wouldn't be, while a racist, misogynistic, intellectually-challenged, lying, narcissistic crypto-fascist is at the head of a large country.

George Soros may aspire to be the Dictator of the World, but alas for him, he is but mortal and only one stop or so before eternal hellfire.
