Unlike at some other forums, say TC, one is able to delete one´s own posts here.
Haven´t you got that option in the upper right corner of your post, "remove" near "modify"?

Thank you. Didn't see that. Still quite new to forum.

Does double-posting matter really? What if you want to post on a seldom-posted-in thread and you were the last person to post there, several months ago? Should you discard your perfectly valid thought and wait until someone else posts?

I may be wrong, but I think she means she posted an identical post twice in a row. Even that isn't a deal breaker, of course, although some people would be concerned that others think they are an idiot. :-\

Since a few weeks posting a new post often triggers an error message.

Meanwhile the new post still goes through....

The problem I've seen when this happens though is that the post isn't logged as the newest post in the thread, though it certainly shows up within the thread itself.  I hope this bug is fixed when the server is transferred.

..which seems to imply that the re-generation of the lists is where the server falls over.

There’s no thinking involved on my part. I know I’m an idiot. :P

Did it in error as my phone was playing up and posted twice at same time!

I have occasionally been receiving "Sorry/Error etc. blah blah blah" messages implying that the writing was not published.

But then I open a second screen, and yes, it has been published!

Any ideas?

I had a similar problem right here: http://www.good-music-guide.com/community/index.php/topic,15184.msg1130537.html#msg1130537

Not sure if anyone else overlooked this announcement when it first happened, but this "Sorry/error etc. blah blah blah" is a direct symptom of the issue which took down the server a few weeks back. It is caused by the server actually being overloaded, and is the reason why Rob is upgrading the server.

I would have posted something here earlier, but I thought everyone knew about it already.  :-\
