For me the modification facility seems to be working as normal.

What I am having problems with is the ‘Search’ and ‘Advanced Search’ facilities, which don’t work as all for me.

Is it working for other people?

Thanks for getting the forum back up!  I'm sure it was quite the task.

Good to see the forum back.

Search isn't working for me either.

And like others, the modify button isn't showing on my posts.

The ‘search’ function is there, but it doesn’t work . The ‘modify’ button (I use it all the time) is gone. Other than that, I survived for 4 days on a scrabble and *yawn* newspaper diet  :D.

Thanks George, perhaps the modify button is only there for Mods at the moment. Not deliberiate, I am sure Rob will get onto that. I am relieved not to be alone in the search problem. It never did like Berlioz and never would find posts discussing him. I wonder what the machine had agin’ him?

Oh and another thing I am noticing, it is talking longer for new posts to load.

And yet, after making this post (and quoting it to make an edit), it says this at the bottom of the page:

Page created in 0.06 seconds with 23 queries.

Oh and another thing I am noticing, it is talking longer for new posts to load, something like five seconds or so. I am mentioning this, as Rob had mentioned that the forum would be faster after the changeover.

And yet, after making this post (and quoting it to make an edit), it says this at the bottom of the page:

OK I see what you mean...

For browsing, it's fast, for sure, only when making a post I notice the slowdown, again, about 5 seconds for a new post to load.

Thanks Rob,

I'm experiencing notably faster performance on my phone. Your efforts are very much appreciated.

Same experience here. I always think it's stuck before it then goes through, after all. But that's better than before, where my posts showed a FAILURE to post first, but then turned out to have been posted, after all.

You mean before the switch or just after the switch?

Just BEFORE the switch, I had the trouble that posts would indicate not having been posted (but were). Now there's no such trouble... only the pretty much exactly five seconds that each post takes at least to post.

Yes, surfing GMG is super fast, but I'm missing the modify post function as well.

As far as the search function, it's netting me zero.

Don't know about posting yet, but about to find out.

Oh, and hey, it looks like spell check is back!
