It’s on YouTube. Sounds like Neeme Jarvi's cat in heat. But judge for yourself.

He's a contemporary Czech composer. It's his second string quartet and I like it quite a lot. I selected it in the previous thread, I'm surprised to see it has gained points from other people because it's fairly obscure compared to most of the other selections.

I always forget the magical formula for getting this weird flash BB to display YouTube videos, so I link it for you here instead.

The Adámek also is in the Donaueschinger Musiktage 2010 box

played by Quatuor Diotima

BTW that box is one of my best contemporary music purchases in recent years, and I'm pleased the Adámek got through the half-time adjustment

That was how I first heard it! The Donaueschinger box sets are very good indeed.

I listened to it a few days ago and thought it was delightful. I am glad to see other fans of Adamek who know more about his music than I do. What else would you recommend to listen to?
I actually don't know much of his work outside of that piece. Lately I haven't had much time to listen to new stuff, but Adamek is definitely one of the composers of our time that I need to devote more time to.
