Another Yousuf Karsh photo, but this one of Aaron Copland:
"How awful that the artist has become nothing but the after-dinner mint of society.”

Another Yousuf Karsh photo, but this one of Aaron Copland:
Great photo - he also photographed Vaughan Williams.

In my small world, it's all there; face, title, score - a triad. It's obvious and can often be banal, but it works.
In any case, I like it. :)

This is cool. But while I'm willing to be wrong, I'm sure the original looked different.

I hate Twitter, and the phrase Best Tweet Ever usually links to some burn or snap. But this one is really thoughtful and thought-provoking.

Indeed. Karsh photographed several composers.

Susan Peters, actress. Maybe late 1940s?

This could be by Virgil Apger who was employed by MGM during the time the shot was taken. But I doubt it, because his forte was the production still (won an Oscar for it) and even allowing for the environment it doesn't look much like his work.
