The pianist is Arthur Moreira Lima, from Brazil. He was a finalist and received the second prize (the first was given to Martha Argerich). Moreira Lima was born in Rio de Janeiro and studied in Moscow Conservatory. After his participation in Warsaw, he gave many concertos around the world, being the soloist of the most important
orchestras.
