i just finished listening to this CD and was so amazed at how good it was, read a review written here:

http://www.amazon.com/Joseph-Schwantner-Sparrows-Distant-Incanations/dp/B0002TNGZ0/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1203379436&sr=8-2

i'm also familiar with this CD, which got me interested in the composer in the first place:

http://www.amazon.com/Joseph-Schwantner-Slatkin-Glennie-National/dp/B000003G77/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1203379436&sr=8-1

Judging by these two CDs, if he keeps at it, he should go down as one of the VERY great composers in history...... he even has his own "signature" sounds, too...... just listen.

Always confusing Schwantner and Druckman.
