But it's soooooo goooood nonetheless

what is ridiculous about it?
It is comparably lightweight and the first movement might be a little too long but altogether not much different from other Beethoven concertos.
Isn't this the most sensationalist, clickbaity thread ever?

Busted!
Ridiculous? Not sure about that, but the Triple Concerto is actually one of my favorite Beethoven works. To my ears, it has a melodic fluidity and memorability that many of his other works seem to lack. It never fails to lift my spirits!
It is actually a Sinfonia concertante, and it is totally in that mold. In that case it is one of the best Sinfonias concertante ever. :)
BTW, I prefer 'Trio Concerto', since the concertino is actually a Piano Trio. And I believe (always have) that Beethoven intended the concertino to be this sort of specific group which usually plays together and complements each other so well, rather than the great variety of oddly assorted instruments which 'graced' the solos of many SC's at the time.

The recent Tetzlaff/Tetzlaff/Vogt recording is so good that I've been listening to this piece much more frequently, once every month or so.

I think the last time I listened to it was 20 years ago or more. :(
