Title: Amazing Classial Collection on eBay!
Post by: CTshop on August 30, 2014, 12:47:28 PM
Hi,

I work for a independent record shop in Brooklyn, and we came across an incredible collection of classical LPs we acquired from the estate of a former employee of Columbia Records. The collection arrived straight from storage and a great portion was sealed; those that are opened were promo copies and unplayed. We're selling a great portion of the collection on eBay, and I wanted to get the word out on some online classical forums to alert collectors of this incredible find!

You can see the our eBay listings here:

As an industry insider, these LPs are first off the manufacture line, meaning they are from a "hot stamper." Many bare the "promo" or "sample copy" sticker. These are the closest to the original sound intent of the label and mastering engineer and should be considered audiophile by the nature of their close proximity to initial recording. This is a rare treasure, and these kinds of collections are few and far between! Please check our eBay page.

Have a great day!  8)

Nice haul for the turntablists among us. Not much on Columbia, but lots of Polygram, Angel and others.

It's true, but I believe Columbia distributed Deutsche Grammophon, Angel, etc in the US during that time? (60s/ 70s)  :)

That's before my time. I don't know. In any case, it wasn't a slam.
