I'm not crazy about the fight between Gandalf and Saruman in Isengard, but I accept it, as a suitable cinematic liberty. They're good, except for the Second. But there are so many other Mahler recordings I can't blame anyone for skipping these.

Nielsen's two violin sonatas have eclipsed his works for violin solo, probably because the former are more balanced in their material. Anyway, this is a tremendous composition, perfect to test virtuosos.
