Title: Recording and playback
Post by: canninator on November 07, 2008, 02:10:54 AM
Up to now I have avoided the idea of recording myself on the guitar and playing it back but this is something I really can't avoid now. In the Renaissance repertoire I am working with I need to be rhythmically spot on. A metronome is not suitable for what I want to do.

I am looking to record and listen back so can people please recommend a suitable set up. I am on a budget so am looking for something cheap yet capable of giving some idea of subtle changes in tone colour.

Will an ipod with mic or minidisc do the trick or do people recommend something more? The acoustics of the room are bright and reverberant (hard wood floors, hard walls, v. little soft furnishing).

Thanks.
