Which pieces do you never get bored of playing?

There are some pieces and composers that I love playing but don't often choose to listen to. For example Bach. Great to play but I hardly ever listen to his stuff. Here's one of my favourites which I recorded last month.

Welcome to the forum!

I'm not much of a musician (I've played the guitar a little, and I ca find the notes on a piano), but I certainly understand what you mean, regarding the pleasure from playing something being not directly in relation with enjoyment level while listening. Bach is fun on the guitar, too, but then again, I have no trouble listening to his music, either..

I play the Well-Tempered Clavier much more than I listen to it. Apart from the ones that are currently beyond my technique that is (e.g. the Bb major prelude from II, the A major fugue from I). I'm trying to learn some of the Chopin etudes now, which I never really listen to either.

I also never get bored of playing Beethoven sonatas and the limited amount of Schumann that my giant but not very stretchy hands can support, but I rarely get bored of listening to that stuff, either.

I'd always rather be playing than merely listening! ;D

I agree, Bach is great to play. It sits so well under the fingers and is almost therapeutic. I don't often listen to Bach though...
