Kia you are most welcome, and my greetings from Holland. Dont worry about your English, we have a spell check, and by writing you learn. My French is terrible by the way.
Wagner is not my thing but Shostakovich is. What are you favourite pieces, and performances?

Thanks,

Shostakovich: Symphony n°13 (Rostropovich) , Symphony n°8 (Gergiev), the quintet op.57 and many others pieces..
Wagner: too difficult for me to say what are the best interpretations, there is so many ways to definite what is "best" in Wagner's operas...

Hello kia, and welcome to the forum.  Lots of fans here of both Wagner and Shostakovich!

Hello Kia, and welcome.

I just received the box set of Shostakovich symphonies by Kurt Sanderling.
It is dynamite !!!      Especially Nos 5 and 15   (but have not listened to all yet).
Highly recommended
