Double that!  (I'm an American, so I can afford to say it. Shocked Grin Although actually, since I have been single and celibate for a decade now, you can't apply the first half of that two-word phrase to me. Wink )

And here I though you were talking about F/X, as in the F/X department of a movie studio that's responsible for all those explosions and computer-generated backgrounds. Shocked

Going back to the original question, the only difference that I'm aware of is that a conservatory teaches only music (although I think there are visual-arts conservatories too), while a university educates in all fields of study--often including several that aren't listed on the curriculum.  Shocked
