On an education course I got told, that the main difference on Cons and Uni was, that the cons is a practical studio and that Uni is more academic. As composer I expected to find, that the composition education in conservatory was the most academic music education of all time, more academic than music theory in Uni. Am I terribly wrong here? No, If other countries has conservatories and universities in around the same understanding as those in Denmark, it might be quite the same...

My local conservatory is in partnership with a local University, and the two use eachother's resources. The Conservatory post-graduate program is very different from the college's however. At the University one will have to start with a variety of courses, with the Conservatory the courses are exclusively music-related.

I think that Daniel is right about this. I could quote you chapter and verse on the situation in the US, but it would not necessarily apply in another country. Good luck finding a way to make your decision. I wish I could be more helpful.

I hope that was not intended as an insult. I don't know what fx American is supposed to mean but I can guess. If I was right, it was uncalled for.

You know precisely what I "writed" and might be kind enough to explain "fx" so that I may either dismiss it or forgive you.

Listen buck, I really dont know, what you are talking about. Especially with this " fx ". Stop being silly, and behave like a, at least, grown up child.

In the plainest English I can manage, why did you put "fx" in front of America? I will assume it means "f&cking" until you explain otherwise.

Personally I think the fx (American style) should go in front of Bush. But that is irrelevant.
