I hope he and the mod team reach a consensus on this matter. Unfortunately a minority of one carries no weight in the decision making process.

"Aida Burana"? "Mimi Burana"? "Tosca Burana" "Melisanda Burana"?

I like your character trait: Tenacious! It's by none of the composers you guessed at. Go way, way back in your memory!

Sorry ,I tried to be funny... it could be anything, nowadays. From a staged performance of Rossini's Petite Messe Sollenelle to Monteverdi or Offenbach...
The Jeroen Bosch (or is it Bruegel's Hell) in the background made me think of Orff ( was used on the Chailly version?-).
So , it must be something "old" - Cavalli?

We have not had one of those for some time: What's the name of the opera:
Moses und Aron und die lustige Witwe.

All great guesses - and I knew the answers were meant to be funny - of course the production had to be in Germany, Aalto Musiktheater Essen and the director of that event is Stefan Herheim. Doesn't help, does it? Ok, big hint: Mozart!

Don Giovanni?
The Bosch backdrop gives it away?
I could never guess any of Nige's.

Poor Don Giovanni! This opera seems to be the most challenging opera for directors with an offbeat sense of humour - creativity? - Not so funny is the bit of news I received a week or so ago about the baritone in the Bieito production having been killed in an automobile accident.
