Out of curiosity, is this pessimism or not?- having no confidence in luck or things you can't control, yet having irrational amounts of self confidence in what you could do.

For example, I could look at a hyper complex piano score and for some reason think i could just sit down and learn it, even though I don't play piano- I just have to reason that it takes longer than that to learn. Not to mention a million other things....

When it comes to stuff like lottery or stock market, I wouldn't participate in any of those because I have no faith any of those would ever turn out good. I could easily imagine getting killed by a drunk driver or being drafted and dying in a war.

Is this still pessimism or not- when people use the phrase "half empty or half full", is this just a more complex type of half empty or what? Just curious.  8)

I'm pretty sure that's just being Greg, has nothing to do with anything else.

bleh, i don't like that answer.
and i don't understand this, either......
when guitarists like Eddie Van Halen came on the scene, many guitarists either "quit or tried harder". I don't understand the quitting mindset of people. How can they be content with giving up?
Anyways, I had another random question, but it would be dumb to make another thread, so I'm just going to make a thread to fit all the random questions.  :P

never mind- while typing, i suddenly remembered the name of the movie i was going to ask everyone- "Life Is Beautiful" is the title. Stupid title, awesome movie.

OTOH, it's understandable that Greg take a vivid interest in the question(s) of Being Greg.
