Just think, all those stupid diet books and it comes down to this. You could fit it on a business card.

It will almost certainly help. Getting your doctor to prescribe Lipitor will help more.

Lipitor does strange things to my liver. That's not stopping them from trying to wean me back on it though. Right now I'm taking Niaspan.

Thats not a problem. You need to know your LDL/HDL thats more important....

Mine is around the same, but my HDL is so high that it's not considered a problem.  I'm not sure that the reassurance from my md is making me happy.  I've cut out so much fat from the diet and still, it stays up there. When I was younger, my cholesterol was always around 150 to 160 and I don't like the change.

Bunny, whats your LDL's that the key...should be well under a hundred....HDL should be well over 50. HDL is the good stuff and LDL's are the bad stuff....
