Anyone heard this bit of news?

It's pretty stupid but I do feel sorry for the kid. He is probably going to get his ass kicked in school someday just for having that name. Notice the names of his siblings. Tell me his mom and dad aren't Neo-Nazis.

They likely are neo-nazis, and I also feel sorry for the child.  Wouldn't surprise me if he changes his name when he grows up.

Are there no rules to prevent giving parents their children offensive or indecent names?

Here (Netherlands) the Civil Registry would refuse to enlist such a name for a newborn child. Poor kid. :-\

I don't think it is possible, here in West and Central Europe to give the names of Hitler or Himmler to a son. At least in Germany, France or Portugal, according to their register laws.

Are those common surnames in Germany? It would be pretty silly if they forced people to change their family names because of good old Adolf and his friends, but then again, there is no end to the idiocy that is political correctness.

Their daughter's name is JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell. I think we can safely say they're neo-Nazis.

Perhaps some people should learn to think through serious issues seriously before blaming PC for everything. Naming a kid after Adolf Hitler is not the same thing as naming them after Charlton Heston or Sarah Palin...

I didn't say anything about naming kids after Adolf Hitler. I was talking about people who already had Hitler in their family name and how PC whipped German authorities might decide to deal with it. As for good old Alfie, surely it is my personal prerogative to deal with the man on any term i may chose.

Another stupidity is failure to see what damage expressions such as "good old Adolf" do to the conservative cause  ::)

There is no conservative cause until conservatives continue kowtowing to the Bolshevikization of western society and cower in fear any time they start questioning the lies propagated by political correctness. That's what i'm here for, to show people how to have the balls to stand up for what they believe to be the truth.

Yes, you can do that - BUT silently in your house and NOT is this public forum!

You know, Hitler only had one ball. He was half a man.

"Poor kid" indeed. I don't generally subscribe to the "don't-mention-certain-people-or-they'll-rise-from-their-grave-and-haunt-us" mentality, but this is certainly a violation of Adolf's right to a normal childhood.

Edit: And I think Hitler had a complete anatomical constitution - imagine that! Shame about the mental health, though.

I believe we live in a democracy, not a police state. Why should i be banned from voicing my opinions in public? What is it that i'm going to say that is so dangerous that requires censorship? What are you afraid of exactly?

Living in a democracy does not mean that one can say anything at anytime! Remember that please. And talking about Hitler naming him "Good old Adolf" in a public forum is trivializing this man. Thats incorrect, because the effects of this man on the world wasn't trivial! And maybe some other people reading here in this forum and don't know very good about Hitler (Yes, also dump kids can listen to classical music), and you are talking this way about him! You soften the whole topic with this dulcet naming.
You live in a democracy and in that you have also the responsibility to take care of your fellow men - and also some blockheads are your fellow men!
