No, it is about about me, but a young psychologist I am mentoring, who is also a music lover, told me this today.

I had lend him some CDs. Yesterday, he drove to a shopping mall underground parking lot. As he parked his car, Sleeper Awake was playing. Wanting to finish the music before he got out of the car, he decided to stay in the car and listen for a few extra minutes. The window was down. A young lady parked her car next to him. Upon getting out of the car, she stopped and decided to listen to Bach. Two minutes later, it was finished and my friend got out of the car.

As they walked to the elevator, she asked "what music was that?"
"That was Bach."
"Magical!"
"So you love music as well?"
"Yes but mostly jazz. Only a little classical"
"What do you do?"
"I work at a piano shop."

That was the end of their small talk.

Two hours later, my friend got to his car. Seeing that the lady's car was still there, he decided to leave a note.

"Not many men would continue listening to music after the car is parked. Not too many women would stop just to listen to music coming from another car. I think we deserve another meeting. If you agree, give me a call."

She called and they spent last night together.
Do what I must do, and let what must happen happen.

the phone rings and somebody says,
"hey, they made a movie about
Mahler, you ought to go see it.
he was as f*cked-up as you are."
