I don't have a radio in my room anymore, so I don't have a radio nearby to listen to. Plus, I think it's on Sunday, right? (when i'm at work all day)
I think that was the show where I first heard about Jay Greenberg, and they played a piece he wrote about 9-11. If I remember right, he was on 14 or so at the time...

From the Top on the radio, 89.3 @ 5 PM is on Saturdays. They're on TV too, on Sundays, but we don't watch it much.

They play that on the weekends on my NPR station. I think my favorite show to listen to is "Exploring Music with Bill McLaughlin".

Here's more about me:
I LOVE LOVE LOVE classical music. oh, I already told everyone how much I love classical music  ::)

My brothers play violin. I used to. I don't do it anymore because I've decided I wasn't made to be a good violin player.

My little brother plays ok, he's learning. My older brother is REALLY good at violin. Maybe not good enough to be in the PYSO, but quite good. Really good.

We three used to play piano. I quit because...um well I didn't have time to learn anyways. Jason quit - I don't know why. He used to be pretty good, going to piano lessons when we lived in WI. He even used to play the trumpet - in elementary school! And he just quit!  ::) :o
Both my brothers have violin lessons, btw.
Well my little brother didn't exactly quit piano. It's just that he doesn't do little lessons from Mom anymore. She's more focused on getting him to do violin.

It's very good that you tried out playing different instruments.  I think everyone should try to play something, just to see what it's like.  It doesn't matter whether you are any good or not--it's the experience that counts.  Even if you never play violin again, I'll bet that years from now you will be glad you tried it!
