Hello all,

I love Pieter van Winkel... He really has a "nose" for interesting material! Brilliant classics has a sublabel called "retrospective". In the Netherlands they are sold in a drugstore (!) called "kruidvat" for 7 euro. This holliday season I rented a small house, and forgot to bring some cd's with me. I asked my wife to take some cd's from the kruidvat, and she called me from the store to ask which cd's I did not had yet. "Ever heard of Max Rostal" ? She asked... Expecting a cheap transferred disc, it actually was a very good transfer, "licensed from Universal, original mastertapes". The two other cd's that yoy could buy were Kubelik's first recording with the Vienna Philharmonic, Mahler 1 and Janaceck Sinfonietta. Recorded in 1954, and issued on Decca lxt's. Complete with a repetition fragment. And Boult conducting Tchaikovsky 3rd symphony (polish), 1812 and Hamlet overture (1st issue on cd! States the cover).
I don't know where you can buy these cd's outside the Netherlands, I found this link from a French site:

I can recommend the cd's, and Pieter, I know you watch this group from time to time, THANKS!
