i hope someone understands what i'm getting at,....this could be vague

but i'm interested in that "fin de siecle(sic?)", baudelaire, poe, decandent, berlin 1920s, munch, the whole rotting graveyard thing, p. lunare....the french
KIND OF HOW I FEEL AFTER WATCHING A VISCONTI FILM...especially the damned and death in venice...not to mention the night porter, haha

perhaps something about the ecstatic and sexual sounds in music (scriabin and berg)...i'm thinking szymanowski,haha. orpheus swooning.....

berg's op3 quartet pops into mind.
and i would PREFER to talk instrumental music...but i know many vocal works would be mandatory, so go ahead...
