Being a major fan of the 80s and film soundtracks from that era, I am always putting together extended soundtracks that contain all of the music heard in the film(s), not just those officially released on LPs, cassettes or CDs.  Of course, song mysteries crop up routinely, especially those in concerns to classical and instrumental songs.  I've got a few below that I hope you folks can assist me in identifying.  Some have Ira Newborn or Elmer Bernstein as the composer, though I know this isn't the case.  The name was just used for track purposes.  Just click the links to DL the MP3.  Thanks for whatever assistance you can give on these.

No one has any idea of the title and artist for the tunes I posted?

Que

I think hardly anybody here wants to go through all the hassle of downloading them one by one, having to wait a minute or so before the download is possible. No offence! :)

You might try uploading MP3 files and linking them into the forum's mediaplayer: press and this will appear: [*mp3=200,20,0,center][/mp3] (without the *). Put the url in between.

This is the result: [mp3=200,20,0,center][/mp3]

Mind you need a direct link to the file, not a url to a download facility.

BTW I did listen to the 1st sample: seems 19th century salon music to me, not by a "serious" composer...

2nd sample ("Cleaning the house"): the overture to Mozart's Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute)

Thanks for the help.  Now, where can I go to upload the songs so that URLs can be made?

I use Fileden, Mediafire doesn't allow direct linking.

BTW: the 3rd sample is Boccherini's minuet from his string quintet Op. 13 no. 5.
Halfway through there is an interruption of a minute or so by another piece - I think I recognize a Haydn string quartet there, but need to check.

Thanks for the help, Que.  I've fixed up the first post with playable songs now for easier IDing.  Got an excellent copy of the Boccherini song for "Ferris".  Perfect match.
