What happens if there are no websites dedicated to the pianist?  Are they not to be included in this thread?

Yes, the purpose of this thread is to discuss the great pianists of the 20th and 21st century. By great I mean great in your opinion. Hopefully people will begin to explain and discuss their choices.

The website thing was a small part of what this thread could be so if someone has no website/discography/wiki article, then they can of course be mentioned, along with whatever info you have on the pianist.

I guess I'll have to post more later.

Unfortunately all out of print, with the exception of the last one, which is actually a very nice introduction to her style.

Reviews for "The First HMV Recordings, 1949-1951"

Here is a noble tribute to a noble pianist. Gina Bachauer (1913-76) was an artist whose exultant virtuosity and unswerving musical honesty became one of music's legends....Myra Hess who, although markedly different in style and repertoire, saw her as her natural heir, a pianist in the grandest of grand traditions....The recordings capture much of this artist's immense dynamic range, and Bryan Crimp's accompanying essay lovingly charts a truly charismatic career.
- Bryce Morrison, GRAMOPHONE, Aug., 2005

These are muscular, intense readings of great stature....Bryan Crimp's transfers and annotations are exemplary. This is a wonderful tribute to this great pianist who died way too young in 1976.
- Alan Becker, AMERICAN RECORD GUIDE, Sept./Oct., 2005

I am already beginning to see that this thread could just turn into a long list of pianists with links to their webpages.I had hoped we would have a discussion about each of these pianists, listing your favorite recordings, describing why you think they belong on the list, discussing how piano playing has changed over time, etc.....
