Good old Anton Karas, the quintessential one-hit wonder with his "Harry Lime Theme" from the film "The Third Man". You can see this film here in Vienna three nights a week at the Burg Kino and you can hear this "Harry Lime Theme" being played on a zither in a Heuriger somewhere in this "Third Man" city as well. We even have a "Third Man Tour" here that will take you through some of the places that were used in the film. Here's the website for this tour: http://www.viennawalks.tix.at/pages/engl/nav/rahmen2.php?frame=3mann

I didn't know him, light and elegant music.
"His greatest wish was, to become a director of music. Due to the modest financial circumstances he got only education in "Zither" playing. He found the instrument in the loft of his grandmother's house. Anton was 12 years old."
