That sounds like it should be included in medical textbooks. The image would stick in students’ minds.

Agreed, and this sort of work is being implemented in programs. I work currently with mechanical engineering and robotic students, and addressing racism, especially on the algorithmic level, is part and parcel of their curriculum. I have a lot of faith in the current generation of undergraduates to walk the talk (they're all very insightful and surprised, I find, at what was considered problematic years back).

Oh, I don’t think the Government should spend our tax money on statues of any more dead people. No more Chinggis Khan statues. Making statues for the public is a significant work, which requires planning, location, meaning, impact, landscaping, etc.
