Anyone have one? Do you like it? What are your thoughts? Which is the best?

Thanks.

I've been using Ereader on my Palm T/X for ages, but I'm hoping to upgrade to a Kindle 2 for my birthday.  I've had no issues with ereader, works like a charm.

Whichever you get, make sure to check out www.manybooks.net.  They have gazillions of things in public domain from Project Gutenburg & other places, and they come pre-formatted for whatever reader you choose.  Very handy, and free!  I must have 500 of their books on my Palm.
The man that hath no music in himself,
Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds,
Is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils.
The motions of his spirit are dull as night,
And his affections dark as Erebus.
Let no such man be trusted.

Thanks, j.

I was looking at the Kindle 2 but the price seems rather steep.

I've been using the Sony reader (PRS 505) for almost a year now, and I couldn't be happier with it. For one thing, the sheer amount of books I've read since I switched has easily doubled compared to when I read physical books. I have an ebook library of over 300 books already. Plus the fact that you can put txt, doc and pdf fies in there makes it even better.

The weak link with the Sony Reader (as it is with iPod) is the software which is not exactly intuitive, but with all due credit to Sony, you don't actually need the software to transfer books from your computer. You can just as easily drag and drop them.

If I needed a replacement, I'd go for the Sony again (the new touch screen one). Kindle is probably fine as well, but still the ugliest handheld device on the market.

Thanks! Yeah, I've been eyeing that Sony.
