For my job as a food writer, instead of writing up my own favorite takeout meals of 2022, I reviewed the takeout from the perspective of my cat, with lots of pictures. It's apparently the most memorable article I've written because I was getting some barbecue a few weeks ago and a customer in line said "Oh, are you that food writer? I love your cat!"  ;D

Haha!  Who can resist a tasty Bánh Mì sandwich?

Interesting thing I noticed:  Amazon shows two different authors' names there:  Lloyd Baron and Anatoli Schulz.  I went to the .com website for Anatoli Schulz and there's a different title for the novella there:  If cats could talk...would they cry?

In any event, I read the first page from it and found it to be interesting.  Alas, my library doesn't have it.

Quote from: vandermolen on March 05, 2023, 10:54:54 PMI like the sound of this ballet:

In 1927 Diaghilev's company produced the ballet La Chatte (The Cat) with music by Sauguet, which premiered in Monte Carlo on April 30. The story is about a young man who falls in love with a cat, which assumes a human form through the intervention of Aphrodite. As they make love, the cat-woman sees a mouse and cannot resist chasing it, whereupon she changes back into a cat. The work was choreographed by the young George Balanchine.[3]

Interestingly Jeffrey, it is in the Ballets Russes Warner box set that just arrived at my door today!  :)

Let us know what it's like!
"Courage is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm" (Churchill).

'The test of a work of art is, in the end, our affection for it, not our ability to explain why it is good' (Stanley Kubrick).

I found this video to be very touching.  I had also never heard of swimmer's syndrome before.  Grateful that there are pet foster parents like this woman in the world.
