Last night I was in bed, about to click off the light, when I noticed our cat creeping towards me on the carpet, a knife clutched between her teeth pirate-style.  When I spontaneously asked her what the f*ck she was doing, she dropped the knife and scurried away.  Granted, it was one of those tiny plastic knifes you get at a diner; but I've developed a newfound suspicion towards our cat.

 lol I honestly don't think that your cat was trying to do you in!  ;) Probably, more likely, she had found something and was going to present you with it as a "cat offering"....or perhaps in her mind, she had found a new toy?

Very sweet kitty!  And politely, but insistently, asking for their human to get up and feed them.  ;D

This story shook me up.  I'm glad that it ended well as it could have gone for the worse with the cat dying.  It's not the first time that I've read of cats ending up in mail packages.  :(  :'(

Baby being raised by cats.  :)

Before the baby arrived (and maybe after too?), the cats must have been thinking "Wow!  All this new stuff?  Aw, thanks Mom!"

Quote from: Wendell_E on January 16, 2023, 01:04:32 AMI took Tenille my Russian Blue, to the vet on Jan. 4th because she'd been drinking and urinating a lot more than usual. The diagnosis was diabetes, so I've had to give her insulin injections twice daily since the 6th. If only I could grow a third hand, or just inject myself.  ;D

How is she doing?  And I'm so sorry.

I posted about it at the time, but she never got better, and rapidly declined and I had to have her euthanized on Mar. 20, 2022, the day before Mardi Gras. I had to have her predecessor, Precious euthanized on the day after Mardi Gras in 2011.

After about three months of carelessness, I got two eight-week-old kittens from a co-worker whose cat had a litter. I'm not a big picture-taker, so it looks like the latest one I have is from Sep. 2023, not long after I had them fixed. You can see where Lulu's stomach was shaved for the operation. Her brother Alban's in the foreground.
